The Killer Mountain and Beyal Camp

Nanga Parbat known as the Killer Mountain 8,126 m tall 9th tallest mountain of the world situated in the Gilgit Baltistan Region in Pakistan. This monster is an attraction to tourist from all over the world and a dream of mountaineers to climb it. It has taken 69 lives till date . The conditions are really harsh here in winters and the danger of avalanches in summers makes it one of the most difficult mountain to approach.

The killer mountain Although beneficial in few ways like villagers who live under its shadow in a village called Beyal Camp earn there livelihood by hosting the tourists.
Wooden cottages are made for the stay food is also being served although very few items are on the menu like Rices , Beans and few vegetables tea is also being served the prices are really high which is understandable with the conditions as there are no means of transportation available.

Its takes 3 hours of drive , 90 minutes of a breath taking Jeep Track and 5 tiring hours of hiking to reach there from Naran and its totally worth it.
Nanga Parbat known as the killer mountain sets a backdrop for the Beyal Camp its beauty is wizardry and it really hypnotises you that without any means of Electricity and communication you still don’t want to leave this place. It is not only the destination of tourists but also the climber who come from all over the world for the expedition.
Staying here for a day and night was a mesmerising experience while sitting in the meadow at mid night without any artificial light around you in the warmth and light of wood fire under the sky full of blooming stars with the temperature falling below 0 degrees it felt like we really really far from the world in which we live , the calm the serenity and only sound of wood crackle was nostalgic and unmatched i still remember when i was leaving next morning my feet stuck i really wanted to stay there for an hour a day or maybe for an infinity.
